M.I.K.I.D. – Mentally Ill Kids In Distress has a firm commitment to protecting your privacy. We respect the privacy of our supporters. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated. We will use reasonable efforts to honor any limitations you may wish to place on the usage of your personal information.
Your continued use of the Web Site or the Service indicates your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Please do not provide us with any personal data that you do not want to be used by M.I.K.I.D. in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy. M.I.K.I.D. reserves the right at any time to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy to comply with any applicable state or federal regulations, to utilize new technologies or to improve your experience. If we change the Privacy Policy, the changes will be posted in this document so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information and to whom we will disclose it.
Information We Collect
We only collect personal information that is provided to us voluntarily by you. We may collect information when you donate to our cause or when you register or contact us to receive information about our programs and in connection with other activities on our Site.

We do not collect credit card information as all donations are processed through third-party websites. You may choose to provide credit card (or bank) details to our payments processor in connection with a donation to M.I.K.I.D. In addition, you may choose to provide some personal information to M.I.K.I.D. The type of personal information that M.I.K.I.D. may collect includes first name, last name, email address, postal address, date of birth, and phone number. We may collect other information regarding Site visitors, including IP address, browser and domain information and may also monitor and track information, such as Site visitor usage patterns.
Use of Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on The Website. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. A “cookie” primarily stores information concerning your visits and preferences as to your browsing on the M.I.K.I.D. website, so you do not have to re-enter your settings when you come back to the MIKID website.

In addition, we will retain your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

You may review, update, correct or delete your personal information, or elect not to receive future communications from M.I.K.I.D. by contacting us at phoenix@mikid.org. This e-mail must include your full name, email address, and contact information in the request in order to allow us to verify your identity. Please note that if you request the deletion of your personal information, we may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
