Counseling & Therapy

Our team of professional counselors provides trauma-informed individual and group counseling sessions. Recognizing the deep-seated effects of trauma, we approach therapy with sensitivity, compassion, and expertise.

SafeTALK

Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. SafeTALK teaches participants to recognize these invitations, engage with the person with thoughts of suicide, and connect them with resources to help them be safer from suicide. SafeTALK is a 4-hour suicide alertness training for everyone where the discussion of creating a suicide-safer community with incorporating how to identify people with thoughts of suicide and connecting them to suicide first aid resources using the TALK steps.

Active Parenting

Strengthen parenting skills and prevent child risk-taking behaviors, including drug use, violence, and early sexual activity. 

  • The program emphasizes parental skill development in communication, problem-solving, discipline, family enrichment, and encouragement.

  • Being a “successful parent” means more than providing food, clothing, and shelter. It requires taking an active role in a child’s growth and development, and an active approach to parenting.

  • 6-week certification course for parents/caregivers offered statewide.
